MORE THAN JUST ENGLISH
MORE THAN JUST ENGLISH
We provide homestay accommodation and we choose our hosts because they make you feel part of their family. Our host families in Brighton provide a friendly, comfortable home for you while you are studying at Loxdale English Centre and provide both a delicious breakfast and dinner after your day learning English. You have lunch at School and can choose whether to have a packed or a cooked lunch.
Students have the choice between a single or twin room, which they can share with a student from a different country. It is a great way to make friends from around the world. Our first priority is to place students from different nationalities in the same bedroom. If this cannot be done we ensure students are placed in single bedrooms within a family to maximise their exposure to learning English.
If you are aged 8 to 12 and wish to come with a parent, we can arrange for the parent to also stay in the host family accommodation with you.
12 Year-old students normally stay in our residential centre but if their parents feel that their child is responsible enough to walk to and from School alone then 12 year-olds can stay in homestay accommodation as well.

All our students aged 8 to 12 live in our residential centre where they receive 24 hour care and supervision. The only exception is when they ask to live with their parents either in homestay or guesthouse/hotel accommodation.
Our residential centre, Truleigh Hill, is located 20 minutes from Loxdale. The location is perfect – close to the School and set in the beautiful South Downs National Park. There is lots of garden space for students to relax in and play sports, and as the accommodation is well away from busy roads the students will be very safe.
Whilst staying at Truleigh Hill students will be able to enjoy lots of facilities including a communal dining room, a shop where they can buy drinks and snacks, lots of outdoor space and free Wi-fi. Truleigh Hill has recently been refurbished and the centre’s location will enable us to offer our students the opportunity to try new activities such as archery, orienteering and treasure hunts. Our new centre is the perfect size and offers our students a fun, warm and caring atmosphere – a home away from home!
Where ever possible, students will share a room with a person of a similar age but a different nationality. There are between 2 and 6 students in a room.
