Young Leaders

Course Description

As we’ve seen in the past few months, life can throw up lots of challenges and situations keep changing. In this course we will look at leaders that have been important at different times of history in different circumstances. Topics change each week but will include looking at poverty, the environment, war, media and equality.
During this course we will look at what we can learn from past leaders and look at conflicting viewpoints and opinions whilst also working on critical thinking. You will take part in lively discussions and debates, learning to put your ideas forward in a polite yet definite manner and help you to develop your confidence in front of your peers.
Over the weeks we will also look at what part do you play in the world? What do you want to achieve? This course will encourage you to learn about yourself and your part in the world. You’ll enjoy role plays and case studies to look at problem solving and interesting solutions.
There will be homework each day to prepare for the next day’s task.
