Our Summer Intensive English Course Makes You Work a Little More!
Loxdale English Centre is in partnership with The English Language Centre in Brighton. This is another British Council accredited school, approximately 5km from Loxdale. Students who choose to study on this course will have lessons at the ELC premises at Palmeira Square, Hove. The direct bus from Loxdale to ELC takes 15 minutes.
The Summer Intensive English Course offers a balanced programme helping you to work on essential grammar, vocabulary, idioms, pronunciation and colloquial language. All English skills will be covered during this course; Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. We work hard to develop your confidence and fluency with everyday English.
You will also have afternoon lessons on Mondays to Thursdays with like-minded classmates to push you to achieve the most you can during your stay.
Our maximum class size is just 12 students, which means you will receive personal attention from your teacher at all times.
This summer intensive English course is suitable for students with all levels of English. All students have a test and an interview on their first day to establish their level of English.
Learning Hours
On the Summer Intensive course you will study 25 lessons a week. This is a total of 18.75 hours each week. You can study on the course for as many weeks as you like. If you would like to study for 30 lessons a week, just contact Loxdale to ask for prices.
Specialist Tuition
Do you want to combine the group lessons with some individual tuition? You can choose to add one-to-one lessons to your course. This means you will have the chance to work on your particular language needs or interests.

Small class sizes mean personal attention from your teacher at all times.
Grammar, vocabulary, idioms, pronunciation, and all four skills — Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.
All students have a test and interview on their first day to establish their level. If you're unsure of your level, you can take our test before you enrol.
Working with the Council of Europe Language Level Scale (A2–C1), we'll place you in the right class for your abilities.

Morning — Core General English
20 lessons/week (same as Summer General)
